Today, we’re shining a spotlight on the incredible work of our school psychologists! School psychologists are like detectives, working to figure out a student’s path to success. On the surface, they help students struggling academically, but there are nine additional domains of being a school psychologist. School psychologists use their knowledge of behavior, learning, and mental health to support students in achieving emotional, behavioral, social, and academic success. School psychologists collaborate with educators, parents, administrators, and other experts to establish secure, wholesome, and encouraging learning environments that improve ties between the community, school, and home. School psychologists assist in comprehending and resolving both short-term and long-term difficulties that students may encounter. They are a highly skilled and ready resource in the effort to ensure that all students thrive in school, at home, and in life. Thank you to our devoted school psychologists for helping our students find their way to success and ensuring every student has the support they need to thrive. Let’s show our appreciation for these champions of student success! #EveryStudentThrives #DD4Proud #SchoolPsychologist

🌟 Celebrating Success at Woodland Middle School! 🌟 This week, Principal Kennedy and Assistant Principal Busby celebrated students who are meeting their i-Ready expectations by rewarding them with fresh popcorn during lunch! 🎉🍿 At Woodland Middle, our students are working hard to stay on track and achieve their goals with i-Ready, an online program for reading and math that personalizes learning to help each student grow. To meet the weekly expectations, students must: 1. Complete at least 2 math and 2 reading lessons successfully 📚✏️ 2. Stay on task Monday - Thursday ✅ 3. Reach at least 45 minutes in each subject 🕒 i-Ready’s powerful tools enable our teachers to understand each student's needs and support their growth. We are so proud of our students’ hard work and commitment to excellence! 👏 Let’s keep up the great work, Wolves! 🐺💪 #WoodlandPride #iReady #StudentSuccess

🌞 This Wednesday morning, we enjoyed a refreshing start to the day by joining Ms. Leonard’s Agricultural Science & Technology class for a fun, active lesson on the FFA Creed. Students stood in a circle on the lawn, tossing a ball around, each adding one word to the creed as it was passed to them. This hands-on approach helped them master the creed’s powerful words through teamwork and movement. The FFA Creed expresses a deep belief in agriculture’s future—a commitment to hard work, leadership, and integrity. It emphasizes the importance of community, self-reliance, and finding happiness in honest labor. Watching these students connect with these values in such a creative way was truly inspiring. Great job, Ms. Leonard and class! 🌱💪🌾 #FutureFarmers #FFA @Woodland FFA @woodlandhighsc @Woodland High School

Thank you to everyone who made it out to our very first Dorchester School District 4 Superintendent Town Hall! We were thrilled to see so many engaged community members come together to connect and participate in this important conversation. Mr. Beckwith addressed four submitted questions and answered two additional questions from the audience during the Q&A portion. Your voices truly matter, and we’re grateful for the thoughtful questions that sparked tonight’s discussion. Stay tuned to our social media channels and district website for updates on our next Town Hall. We look forward to building on this momentum and fostering even stronger community connections! #DD4TownHall #CommunityFirst #Transparency
