Dorchester School District Four is proud to announce that Ms. Maria Celi of Woodland Middle School has been selected as one of its April 2025 Everyday Hero recipients.

Part of the district’s ongoing employee recognition program, the Everyday Hero award highlights exceptional staff members whose dedication, professionalism, and positive attitude make a meaningful impact on their school communities.

Nominated by Principal Benji Kennedy, Ms. Celi is praised for her unwavering commitment to students and staff. “Her smile is contagious, and everyone loves her for her dedication to all students and staff,” Kennedy said. “Ms. Celi always goes above and beyond, taking on extra tasks to help students and parents in need.”

Ms. Celi serves as a Spanish teacher for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade and a member of the Multilingual Learners Program support team, where she passionately advocates for students learning English as a second language. Her compassionate support and tireless work ethic have made her a beloved member of the Woodland Middle School family.

She will be officially recognized on April 23, 2025, and will receive a certificate of appreciation and a commemorative Superintendent’s Coin, symbols of the district’s deep gratitude for her outstanding service.
