This is my seventh year teaching 7th grade science at St. George Middle School. I taught a nutritional anthropology course at University of Georgia, and I also assisted with numerous courses, including medical anthropology, ecological anthropology, and general anthropology.

After graduating from St. George High School in 1993, I went to Clemson University and studied biological sciences. My real passions, however, were in the fields of botany and anthropology, and I studied organic farming methods before joining the Peace Corps and moving to Haiti in 1998. After finishing the Peace Corps, I was accepted to graduate school at the University of Georgia and studied anthropology for several years. My husband, Matt, and I moved to St. George so that I could pursue a new interest in teaching. Since then, I've been blessed with two little girls--Kora and Acacia--and we're proud to call St. George home!
