In my English Language Arts classroom, students will enhance their reading comprehension, writing ability, vocabulary, and speaking skills. Learning is a continuous journey and students are expected to be active participants along the way. Students are required to think beyond the surface of what is read and to question what is read and discussed in a respectful manner.

Students will develop comprehension and communication skills. The skills and strategies that are acquired will be used during independent and classroom reading. Students will use the writing process to communicate efficiently and effectively. Students will understand that ELA is made up of many parts that work together as one.
